Clarksville Film Festival
Can you make an awesome film? Do you animate or use stop motion? We are looking for all types of film creators, beginners to experienced. From February 5-7, all teams will have 52 hours to create a 4-7 minute film. Once submitted, your work will be judged by a panel of experts in the film industry, then shown on the big screen at the Roxy Regional Theatre in downtown Clarksville. Cash prizes will be awarded.
COVID-19 Health & Safety Precautions:
- Due to the venue occupancy limit, tickets are limited and will be on a first-come-first-served basis. All tickets must be purchased prior to the Film Festival Screening and Awards event.
- Each team receives 1 free ticket to the Film Festival Screening and Awards event.
- At this time, cloth face coverings are required for ALL ages inside the Roxy Regional Theatre. We are keeping up with the Montgomery County’s Mayor’s orders and will update you closer to the event.
- Seating inside Roxy is designed to accommodate each guest to practice responsible social distancing.
- All guests are encouraged to use the free hand-sanitizing stations placed throughout the Roxy Regional Theater.
- CDC guidelines and social distancing signage will be placed throughout the Roxy Regional Theatre.

JUDGES
Karen Bullis
Video Production Professor at Austin Peay State University
Karen Bullis is a filmmaker with a background in architecture and design. Her short documentary ‘Clarksville 1937’ with Kathy Lee Heuston, won the Tennessee First Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary Short at the 2018 Nashville Film Festival. She is currently filming with Heuston the Tennessee Triumph Monument Statue celebrating 100 years of Women’s Suffrage. Karen was an editor for the Joe Pesci documentary Behind the Gate, winner of the 2014 Wrangler award from the National Cowboy & Heritage Museum. Her micro-budget indie films have also earned Best Comedy, Filmmaker to Watch, and Breakthrough Director awards. Bullis taught Architecture and Design at Tulane University and the University of Texas at Arlington. A graduate of Columbia University and the University of Tennessee, she most enjoys teaching Video and Documentary Production at Austin Peay State University.

We welcome Steve Farkas from Tampa, Florida! Steve Farkas is a creative production professional with a diverse background in motion picture entertainment and advertising. In 25 years, he has had experience in producing television commercials, infomercials, big agency marketing pieces, television shows, high-end entertainment attractions for theme parks and corporate culture.
