S.T.E.P. Unit

In January 2002, the Clarksville Police Department was awarded a grant from the Governors Highway Safety Office and funded through the Tennessee Department of Transportation. This grant was used to form the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program Unit (S.T.E.P.). The main goals of the unit are to:


1.Saves Lives
2.Reduce Traffic Related Injuries
3.Protect Property
4.Educate the Public
