CLARKSVILLE POLICE DISPATCH DIVISION

 


The mission of the Clarksville Police Dispatch Division is to deliver the highest level of professional communication services to the public, police officers, external agencies, and carry out this function by providing courteous and immediate responses, accurate records, timely service and quality training with the highest standards of integrity and performance.

The Clarksville Police Dispatch Division began operation on January 1, 2004. It is a (24) twenty four hour a day/ (7) seven days a week liaison between the citizens of Clarksville, Montgomery County E-911, and the units of the Clarksville Police Department. It is staffed with a Dispatch Director, Training Coordinator, and 25 full time certified Dispatchers. The Dispatch Division provides a variety of emergency and non-emergency communication services to the Clarksville Police Department. Dispatchers not only process calls for service within the City limits, but also complete numerous activities in support of police personnel.

Hope Edwards

Hope Edwards Communications Director

 

 Hope Edwards was born and raised in Ann Arbor, MI until she relocated to Clarksville, TN in 1996. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Communications from Austin Peay State University. Hope began her dispatch career with Montgomery County E-911 in November of 1998. Miss Edwards was hired by the Clarksville Police Department in January 2004 to assist with the implementation of the dispatch division. Her responsibilities were to supervise and train the new team of dispatchers, until her promotion to Dispatch Director in April of 2008.
