Captain Michael S. Thornton

Captain Michael S. Thornton graduated from Murray State University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. He joined the Clarksville Police Department in 1994 and served 3 years in the patrol division assigned to the midnight shift of the south side of town. In 1997 he joined the Special Operations Unit where he spent the next six years investigating drug crimes before being promoted to the rank of sergeant in 2003. In 2008 he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and is currently serving as the District Three Commander.
