DISTRICT 3 COMMANDER - CAPTAIN DONALD GIPSON

Captain Donald Gipson has been a member of the Clarksville Police Department since September of 1994.  He has served as a Field Training Officer, Gang and Narcotics Agent and was a member of the departments’ Tactical Unit for 11 years. Captain Gipson has successfully completed the basic and advanced sniper courses as well as high risk warrant, hostage rescue, school incident, explosive breaching and quick deployment courses. Captain Gipson successfully completed the National Tactical Officers Association Tactical Unit Leadership Course and commanded the 19 officer Tactical Unit for 5 years. He has served as the commander of the Intelligence Led Policing Unit and currently serves as District Three Commander.
