Reserve Officer Program

The Clarksville Police Reserves is a volunteer Law Enforcement organization managed by the Clarksville Police Department. These volunteers are dedicated to serving their community and they work side by side with Clarksville Police Officers.

Reserve Objectives:

To maintain a ready reserve of volunteers that will enhance the department in meeting its mission.

 

Duties:

  • Perform as a Reserve Officer, learning general police work.
  • Participate in special operations, details, and emergencies.
  • Attend monthly training classes.
  • Work a minimum of one patrol shift assignment per month.
  • Work at least four special details per year.

 

Requirements:

  • Comply with P.O.S.T rules and regulations
  • 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Possess a valid driver's license

 

Selection Process:

  • Submit application
  • Oral interview
  • Background investigation
  • Medical examination
  • Psychological evaluation
  • Selection board review

 

Reserve applications are only made available at certain times pf the year. Interested parties should call 931-648-0656 ext. 2208, to check the availability of applications.
