The Public Information Office of the Clarksville Police Department is responsible for all media releases. On a daily basis the office meets with members of the press and fields questions concerning reported incidents, traffic accidents and operations of the department. During critical incidents the Public Information Office sets up a media area and conducts on site interviews and releases to the press. Members of this unit represent the department in the broadcast and print media. Making every effort to insure that the correct information is disseminated in a timely manner is one of the primary functions of this office.

The office coordinates off duty employment, special events and parades. Conducts the annual taxi and wrecker inspections.
