The Clarksville Police Department maintains a Homeland Security Unity Consisting of Officer Tim Chandler, Homeland Security Coordinator and Logistical Support Coordinator. This Unit is responsible for coordinating information sharing, applicable emergency equipment and management training of personnel, as well as resource management between this agency and other law enforcement and emergency services agencies. All of which are located in the North Middle Tennessee Region 7 Homeland Security District. Our specialized support equipment for field critical incidents and special events consists in part of transportation resources, power generators, area lighting and Incident Command equipment. The Homeland Security Unit is in charge of enabling the overall safety of our agencies personnel in event of man made or natural disasters as they in turn respond to the needs of our citizens. Residents and visitors of Clarksville Tennessee are encouraged to review emergency preparedness information at www.DHS.gov, www.FEMA.gov and www.READY.gov. In addition report any observed suspicious packages, activities or actions of individuals or vehicles within the City of Clarksville to the Clarksville Police Department by calling 911. |
