The Clarksville Police Department invites you to become a part of its new Explorer program.

If you are between the ages of 14-20 years old and are interested in a career in Law Enforcement contact Officer Daniel Lane or Officer Nelson Rodriquez at districtonecommunitypolicing@clarksvillepd.org or Ph. (931) 648-0656 Extension 1011 or 1017 . There is only 20 slots available please RSVP by November 7, 2007.

Law Enforcement Exploring is a worksite-based program for young men and women who have completed the eighth grade and are 14 years of age, or are 15 years of age but have not yet reached their 21st birthday.

Law Enforcement Explorer posts help youth to gain insight into a variety of programs that offer hands-on career activities. For young men and women who are interested in careers in the field of law enforcement, Exploring offers experiential learning with lots of fun-filled, hands-on activities that promote the growth and development of adolescent youth.

 

  • The basic requirements to be a member of the explorer program are:
  • Must be currently enrolled in High School as required by state law.
  • Must have and maintain a 3.0 (B) grade point average.
  • Must have no pending criminal charges or convictions.
  • Must have no previous or pending drug or alcohol charges.
  • Must have no more than two juvenile warning citations.
  • Must have no previous or pending serious traffic offences above a class C misdemeanor.
  • Must have no previous or pending out of school suspensions.
