The Crime Scene Team is a specialized unit whose purpose is to identify, collect and preserve evidence in many types of crimes. This team is made up of seven investigators, including a team leader, who all work at various jobs within the Clarksville Police Department. The team is on-call 24 hours a day to respond when needed. The Crime Scene Team will process homicide scenes, rape scenes, bank robberies, an any other scene where the expertise of the team would be beneficial. All members of this team have attended a basic crime scene school and an advanced crime scene course. Additionally, some members of the team have attended special schools on fingerprinting, blood splatter, photography, surface skeletons and buried bodies, and forensic anthropology.
